About Our Client: This company is a global healthcare and pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Malaysia who are looking to hire a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team, with a unique opportunity for a driven individual with a growth mindset to develop professionally along with the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to Financial Reporting Lead, based in Kuala Lumpur.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with statutory requirements and company policies while ensuring timely disclosures and compliance with regulatory updates.
Responsible for analysis of financial data, conduct variance analysis, tax submissions, and review balance sheet and income statement accounts, etc. to provide clear insights for management decisions.
Ensure compliance to group's internal controls, policies and standards.
Work closely with multiple departments to gather financial data & inputs, interdepartmental reports, and align understanding of key performance metrics.
Prepare presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations, and serve as the key contact for statutory reporting, auditors, and external consultants.
Conduct various ad-hoc duties per request.
Skills & Experience Required:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit.
Ability to be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
