Financial Reporting Specialist

About Our Client:
This company is a global healthcare and pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Malaysia who are looking to hire a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team, with a unique opportunity for a driven individual with a growth mindset to develop professionally along with the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to Financial Reporting Lead, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with statutory requirements and company policies while ensuring timely disclosures and compliance with regulatory updates.
• Responsible for analysis of financial data, conduct variance analysis, tax submissions, and review balance sheet and income statement accounts, etc. to provide clear insights for management decisions.
• Ensure compliance to group's internal controls, policies and standards.
• Work closely with multiple departments to gather financial data & inputs, interdepartmental reports, and align understanding of key performance metrics.
• Prepare presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations, and serve as the key contact for statutory reporting, auditors, and external consultants.
• Conduct various ad-hoc duties per request.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
