Finance Reporting Manager

About Our Client:

A well-established public listed company within the construction business, involved in large-scale infrastructure and building projects. With a strong track record and ongoing project pipeline, the company offers a stable yet dynamic environment with exposure to listed-company reporting and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Securities (or relevant exchange) requirements

  • Oversee group consolidation, including subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates

  • Ensure timely submission of announcements, financial statements, and regulatory disclosures

  • Act as the main liaison with external auditors, internal auditors, tax agents, and regulators

  • Manage year-end and interim audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements

  • Research, interpret, and implement new or revised accounting standards

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and internal controls

  • Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions (e.g. construction contracts, revenue recognition, leases, impairment, joint arrangements)

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes from a reporting and governance perspective

  • Review financial controls and recommend process improvements

  • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and control frameworks

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting

  • Experience in a listed company environment is essential

  • Exposure to construction or project-based industries is highly preferred

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (MFRS/IFRS)

  • Familiar with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven

  • Effective communicator with good stakeholder management skills
