Finance Manager/Head of Department

About our client:

This is an up and coming company in the F&B scene in Klang Valley. They have multiple brands under the group and is in an expansion mode. The culture in this organisation is flexible, young, dynamic with two-way open communication. With expansion plans in mind and the aim to have in place a strong Finance & Accounting team, they are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join them.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee the Finance & Accounting function and be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day finance operations, full spectrum financial accounting and reporting
  • Work alongside the CEO and be involved in strategic planning and conduct feasibility studies on expansion plans and growth
  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of consolidation of group account
  • Lead financial analysis, business analysis, sales and performance analysis against budget and last year
  • Monitoring and enhancing processes and controls to ensure internal controls are in place and compliant
  • Identify financial risks and communicating it to the business
  • Business partnering with HODs from other divisions and liaison person with regulatory
  • Lead ad-hoc requests and provide support to management from time to time

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 8-12 years of Finance & Accounting experience ideally in the F&B/FMCG/Retail/Hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or professional qualification
  • Experience managing a lean team and working with CEO/MD
  • Hands-on and experience in overseeing the overall Finance & Accounting function
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels across different functions
  • Passionate about the industry
