Factory Manager

This FMCG company in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Factory Manager with experience in Plastic Injection Molding machines.


Key Responsibilities:

• This role is integral to our business expansion.
• Overall accountability for technical support in the plant, covering production, machine maintenance, mold maintenance, and utilities.
• Uphold, drive, supervise, and implement robust technical standards, systems, and processes.
• Influence technology strategies and decisions with a high level of expertise and knowledge.
• Conduct processing of various plastic materials.
• Monitor and control online rejection.
• Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant legislative specifications and standards.
• Monitor production status and critical spares requirements.
• Implement the production program, review efficiency, and achieve better quality and efficiency standards.
• Ensure a safe working environment.
• Effectively plan the use of the best available resources.
• Develop effective communication channels between departments to enhance teamwork.
• Address quality complaints with proper root cause analysis, ensuring no repeat occurrences, and present findings to customers using PowerPoint.
• Identify training needs for the team, arrange training for subordinates, and enhance competency.
• Motivate the team to produce quality work while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Guide and organize safety toolbox talk training programs.
• Organize safety team activities.
• Monitor and plan effective maintenance of molds, machines, and utilities.
• Act as a key contact with customers experiencing technical issues.
• Support and assist top-level senior management.
• Coordinate with vendors effectively.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree in any Engineering/Management studies.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in leading factory operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of injection molding, preferably IML.
• Knowledge of machine installation.
• Proficient in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work.
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance.
• Handling machine breakdowns within a minimum timeframe and working on downtime.
• PLC troubleshooting expertise.
• Knowledge of utilities such as compressors, chillers, air dryers, pumps.
• Knowledge in ancillaries like MTC, AHU, AC, Sleeving Machine, etc.
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
