Facility Management Manager (Confidential)

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Facility Management programmes to support company objectives, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, safety, environmental and regulatory standards.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, machine performance, energy conservation, cost reduction programmes, and ensure projects and services are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Lead inter-departmental coordination to address breakdowns promptly, minimise downtime, and provide consistent service levels.

  • Manage health, safety, and environmental functions, including audits, waste management, DOSH permits, fire certification, security, housekeeping, and cleanroom performance.

  • Ensure all facility assets, utilities, and equipment are qualified, commissioned, and maintained to required standards, with adequate spare parts and contracts managed effectively.

  • Supervise and develop subordinates through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and enforcement of company policies while fostering good industrial relations.

  • Participate in budgeting, capital expenditure evaluation, sourcing of equipment, and ROI assessments.

  • Ensure all facility management documentation, training manuals, and operating procedures are maintained, updated, and adhered to.

  • Make decisions on maintenance planning, safety, compliance, and regulatory matters, with authority to stop unsafe acts and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.

  • Undertake additional projects or tasks assigned by the Director.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years' management experience in facilities or maintenance, preferably in an ISO 13485-certified manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of facilities management, maintenance practices, health and safety, budgetary control, and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP).

  • Proven leadership with initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently.

  • Effective planning, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu, with good computer literacy.
