Engineering & Maintenance Manager (Electrical)

Our client is a multinational FMCG company in Selangor. They are seeking a Maintenance & Electrical Engineering Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
• Maintenance Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing functionality of equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinate with production and operations teams to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
• Electrical Engineering Expertise:
  • Utilize expertise in electrical engineering to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components, including motors, control systems, and power distribution systems.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in electrical engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Budget Management and Resource Optimization:
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or environment.
• Strong expertise in electrical engineering, with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing demands.
