Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding Food & Beverage company. Due to growth, they are seeking to hire a Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement Capex & Opex projects in alignment with company objectives, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead the growth and enhancement of the Engineering & Maintenance Department to support overall company expansion in existing and new business ventures.
  • Oversee all engineering activities, including machinery, equipment, and facility maintenance, focusing on both breakdown and preventive maintenance programs, and provide solutions for enhanced implementation.
  • Create Plant Risk Assessments as part of asset management, evaluating, minimizing, and eliminating potential risks while maintaining proper records and approvals with local authorities.
  • Supervise contractors, ensuring strict adherence to company standard operating procedures (SOPs) while safeguarding company interests.
  • Establish departmental objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing factors contributing to successes and setbacks, and taking necessary actions in line with company goals.
  • Review and supervise project and process improvements through data and feasibility studies, offering responsible and effective solutions to minimize plant downtime. This includes preparing tender documents, obtaining project approvals, overseeing installations, testing, and handovers.
  • Cultivate maintenance talent, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to work independently and responsibly towards achieving zero downtime. This involves providing appropriate tools and fostering team building across departments.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed, ensuring full compliance and prioritizing safety across all engineering disciplines.
  • Prepare management reports related to engineering activities.
  • Execute cost-saving projects in a timely manner, as well as other new initiatives as directed by management within the technical expertise and capabilities of the department.

  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analytics.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational prowess.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently at different stages.
  • Familiarity with CAD platforms and SAP software.
