Director - Engineering/Development Lead

A large and multinational organization is setting up their IT Hub in KL, and is looking for capable individual to take up this role. You'll be one of the pioneers to build & expand the team.

What you will do?

• Lead and drive the vision & strategy for software development by working closely with the global IT team
• Provide technical direction to the team and ensure the adoption of best practices
• Involve in the recruitment process for the team; Provide technical support and continually develop the team members' skillsets
• Own the Agile process and perform continuous improvement
• Work very closely with other stakeholders to facilitate technical discussions, decision making, and conflict solution
• Manage the resources by identifying needs and allocate across projects accurately

What you need to have?

• 7+ years of software development experience & 2+ years of leadership experience
• Strong communication & validation skills - English is a must (verbal & written)
• Ability to identify and design dependencies with other systems in the enterprise
• Ability to perform technical communications effectively representing the organization
• Technologies: Java, Servlets, JUnit, Maven, SQL; Familiar with Cloud technologies
