Devops /Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. System & Security Administration (50%)

   • Harden Linux/Windows systems and enforce security standards.

   • Manage user access lifecycle per access control policies.

   • Troubleshoot system issues (on-prem/cloud).

   • Ensure compliance with internal/external security regulations.

2. Automation & Infrastructure as Code (50%)

   • Automate sysadmin and security tasks using Chef, Ansible, or Terraform.

   • Create reusable automation modules/playbooks.

   • Develop scripts and pipelines to track automation impact.

   • Maintain documentation and version control for automation tools.

3. Incident Management & RCA

   • Lead and investigate incidents to identify root causes.

   • Work cross-functionally for long-term solutions.

   • Document and share findings for knowledge sharing.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

   • Partner with Security, DevOps, and Application teams.

   • Ensure clear communication and project follow-through.

   • Drive integration and execution of automation initiatives.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years in Linux/Windows System Administration.

• 2+ years using automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform).

• Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).

• Strong security and system hardening knowledge.

• Experience with CI/CD and Git.

• Effective communicator with stakeholder management skills.

• Strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred:

• 5+ years in System or Security Operations.

• Familiarity with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001 compliance.

• Expertise in at least one automation tool (Chef/TEM/Ansible).
