Customer Service Representative - Payment

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Payment Issue Resolution:

    • Handle and resolve L3 payment issues that have been escalated from L1 and L2 support teams.

    • Investigate and diagnose payment discrepancies, processing errors, and transaction failures.

  • Customer Support:

    • Provide clear and concise communication to customers regarding the status and resolution of their payment issues.

    • Offer guidance and support to customers on payment processes and procedures.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including finance, IT, and fraud prevention, to resolve payment-related issues.

    • Coordinate with payment gateway providers and financial institutions as needed.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of all payment issues and resolutions in the CRM system.

    • Prepare regular reports on payment issue trends and provide insights for process improvements.

  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure all payment handling complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.

    • Protect customer data and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the eCommerce or payment processing industry.

  • Strong understanding of payment systems, gateways, and financial transactions.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
