About Our Client
We are currently recruiting for a company that is a well-established organisation in the supply chain sector in Malaysia. They are currently seeking to hire a Credit and Collections Specialist to join their expanding finance team. The role is ideal for candidates with strong credit and collections experience who are looking to broaden their exposure within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Accounting Manager, based in Klang.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end to end credit and collection process which include contacting customers for overdue payments, resolving disputes, and maintaining accurate account records.
- Perform cash application activities including such as uploading bank statements, allocating payments, and resolving unidentified receipts promptly.
- Monitor customer credit risk by reviewing credit limits, managing credit holds, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Cross functional collaboration with other departments to resolve customer issues and provide guidance on Invoice to Cash matters.
- Analyse and improve Invoice to Cash performance by identifying causes of delayed payments and improving workflow processes.
- Prepare reports and support compliance including dispute tracking, payment analysis, tax information, and continuous review of standard operating procedures.
- Conduct various ad-hoc duties per request.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in credit collection and other related financial reporting roles.
- Possess strong communication and negotiation skills with customer focus and collaborative mindset.
- Good proficiency in English in both speaking and writing.
- Strong Proficiency in SAP (Salesforce knowledge would be an advantage)
- Team oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
