Business Development Manager (Family Office)

Job description

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients and family offices. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the Family Office segment by delivering tailored solutions across wealth management, succession planning, investment advisory, and cross-border banking services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

    • Identify and onboard UHNW individuals and family offices aligned with strategic goals.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships by understanding client needs and delivering appropriate solutions.

  • Business Development

    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the Family Office portfolio.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Private Banking, Wealth Advisory, Investment, Legal, Tax) to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Solution Structuring

    • Partner with product teams to design investment, lending, and estate planning solutions.
    • Stay informed on global trends in family office services, including impact investing and multi-generational wealth transfer.

  • Risk & Compliance

    • Ensure client onboarding and transactions meet regulatory and internal standards.
    • Maintain high standards of documentation and confidentiality.

  • Market Engagement

    • Represent the institution at industry events and forums.
    • Use market insights to identify opportunities and refine engagement strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA is an advantage.
  • 5-10 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or family office advisory.
  • Proven ability to acquire and manage UHNW clients.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, estate planning, and cross-border wealth structuring.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
