Business Development Manager - Automation

Job description

Heading/intro:

Our client is a leading provider of industrial automation and equipment solutions, serving global markets with projects ranging from RM1 million to RM200 million in value. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and innovation across new markets, particularly in the US and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across international markets (US and Europe).
  • Propose innovative automation solutions and improvement ideas tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to conceptualize and refine project proposals.
  • Engage with customers to understand their challenges and offer tailored automation solutions - often identifying needs customers may not yet recognize.
  • Drive end-to-end business development activities, including solution proposals, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives to enhance company competitiveness and market presence.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in Business Development or Sales within the industrial automation or automated equipment industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of automation systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with international stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging clients from the US or European markets is highly preferred.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can propose solutions, not just identify issues.
