Business Development Lead

Our client is a dynamic company with international presence and is rapidly expanding its footprint in Malaysia with the introduction of new packaging technologies. You will be joining them as the Business Development Lead, spearheading commercial growth whilst leveraging an established brand name and resources as the business continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

• Drive Business Growth: Lead the expansion of blow molding and PET packaging into food and pharmaceutical sectors through strategic planning and execution, including M&A initiatives.
• Full P&L Ownership: Manage the division's financial performance, ensuring strong revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Build High-Impact Teams: Recruit and lead a top-performing sales and commercial team focused on delivering results in this vertical.
• Leverage Global Expertise: Collaborate with international technical and R&D teams to integrate best practices in manufacturing and design innovation.
• Strengthen Market Presence: Develop customer relationships, oversee product and market strategies, and stay ahead of industry trends to drive competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

• Comes with at least 10 years of sales and leadership experience within the packaging or similar industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with prior experience managing P&L.
• Entrepreneurial with a passion to drive sales.
