Assistant Utilities Service Manager

Our client is looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join their expanding team in Kulim, Kedah.

Job Title: Assistant Utilities Service Manager

Location: Kulim, Kedah

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Managing Utilities Operations: Assist in the management of operations and maintenance of utilities systems including thermal oil system, chilled water and iced water systems, cooling towers, and compressed air system.
2. Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all facilities equipment.
3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly environmental and safety regulations.
4. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality and timely performance of maintenance work.
5. Emergency Response: Be available to respond to emergency situations and manage crisis.
6. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on utilities consumption, maintenance work, and any incidents.
7. Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the facilities department.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
2. Min. 5 years experience in facilities management, preferably in a utilities operation environment.
3. Knowledge of thermal oil systems, chilled water and iced water systems, cooling towers, and compressed air systems.
4. Knowledge of SCADA and CMMS systems.
5. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
