Assistant Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Drive innovation and renovation for new product development projects, from concept to commercialization, while monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
Provide guidance and support to team members, including assessment and approval of alternative raw materials, with clear communication via official channels.
Review and validate shelf-life studies (physical, chemical, and microbiological) for new products to confirm compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
Manage Halal certification applications for new or renewed products in collaboration with Quality Assurance teams.
Handle prototype sample requests from customers or affiliates, including documentation review, status updates, and delivery coordination.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Sales & Marketing, Production, QA/QC, Purchasing, and Finance to drive project success.
Maintain organized documentation, adhere to established processes, and provide internal technical support, including troubleshooting for customer complaints and production issues.
Coordinate periodic calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment with external suppliers.
Ensure general upkeep, cleanliness, and efficient operations of laboratories and testing facilities.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Nutrition or related field.
Proven experience working with bakery products in a development or production setting.
Strong knowledge of food regulations, Halal standards, and food safety protocols.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting.
Excellent time management, project coordination, and interpersonal skills for team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
