Assistant Product Development Manager

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation and renovation for new product development projects, from concept to commercialization, while monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, including assessment and approval of alternative raw materials, with clear communication via official channels.
  • Review and validate shelf-life studies (physical, chemical, and microbiological) for new products to confirm compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Manage Halal certification applications for new or renewed products in collaboration with Quality Assurance teams.
  • Handle prototype sample requests from customers or affiliates, including documentation review, status updates, and delivery coordination.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Sales & Marketing, Production, QA/QC, Purchasing, and Finance to drive project success.
  • Maintain organized documentation, adhere to established processes, and provide internal technical support, including troubleshooting for customer complaints and production issues.
  • Coordinate periodic calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment with external suppliers.
  • Ensure general upkeep, cleanliness, and efficient operations of laboratories and testing facilities.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Nutrition or related field.
  • Proven experience working with bakery products in a development or production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food regulations, Halal standards, and food safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent time management, project coordination, and interpersonal skills for team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
