Assistant Manager / Manager, Actuarial IFRS 17

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and configuring the new reporting requirements of IFRS 17.
  • Drafting and finalizing the interpretation of the IFRS 17 reporting standard in Technical Accounting Papers.
  • Contributing to the design of a strategic framework, which involves evaluating the transition block's size and recommending the optimal transition approach.
  • Contributing to the development and construction of the Prophet model architecture for calculating IFRS 17.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on the Prophet Model and sub-ledger system.
  • Performing an Impact Study and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a recognized Bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields.
  • Passed an Intermediate actuarial exam in one of the actuarial associations recognized by BNM.
  • Strong understanding of insurance actuarial principles, with additional value if familiar with IFRS 17 General principles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in General Insurance (GI) actuarial valuation work, preferably including involvement in model development.
