About Our Client
Our client is an established organisation within the packaging industry and is seeking an Assistant HR Manager to join their team. This role will support the organisation's overall HR operations, ensuring effective people processes across manufacturing and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, movements, exits, and maintenance of accurate employee records through the HRIS.
- Coordinate manpower planning and workforce deployment, working with line managers to ensure staffing needs are met and succession plans are in place to support operational continuity.
- Administer performance management processes, supporting goal‑setting, mid‑cycle reviews, year‑end evaluations, and performance improvement actions to ensure consistent and fair outcomes.
- Manage HRIS administration for payroll and attendance, ensuring data accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Advise on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievance handling, ensuring alignment with labour regulations and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes by supporting SOP updates, system enhancements, and digitalisation initiatives to strengthen HR service delivery.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or similar.
- Comes with around 4 - 5 years of HR experience, especially with experience in HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
