Accounts Executive

Job description

Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliations, period-end closing, statutory reporting, and compliance with internal controls. The role works closely with internal teams, auditors, and local stakeholders to meet reporting and operational deadlines.

Key Responsibilites

  • Manage accounting queries accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Perform and ensure timely general ledger reconciliations and follow-up on open items
  • Support period-end and pre-month-end closing activities
  • Escalate significant issues and risks to management
  • Maintain strong internal controls and up-to-date standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Support statutory reporting for local entities and Holdings
  • Train and support new team members
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting & Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting or finance

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficient in English (written and verbal) for meetings and presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
