Accountant (Based in Johor)

About our client:

Our client is a European multinational corporation with established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to hire a Accountant, who will be responsible for finance and accounting matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. This role will be supporting and reporting directly to Senior Finance Manager, based in Pasir Gudang.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of full set of accounts, including tax schedules.
• Perform month end closing activities and preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents and other external consultants whenever required.
• Participate in preparation of cash flow, forecast and budgeting activities.
• Actively contribute in process improvements and new system implementation & migration matters.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant full set of accounts and financial reporting experience.
• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Ability to travel locally/overseas as and when necessary.
• Possess strong critical thinking, independent and analytical skills
• Excellent written and communication skills in English.
