Accountant

About Our Client:
We are currently recruiting for a well-established European multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry in Malaysia who are looking to hire an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant, who will be responsible for full spectrum of finance and to lead the finance team. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, based in Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month end closing activities, preparation of financial reports and financial analysis that is required by the management.
• Active participation in forecast and budgets, for monthly, quarterly and yearly.
• Supervise and review the junior members' operational work and provide guidance whenever necessary.
• Manage and actively contribute to regional or global projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Responsible for liaison with external parties which includes company secretary, bankers and manage yearly audit and tax submissions.
• Actively participate in continuous improvements for both system and finance SOPs.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant financial reporting and full set of accounts experience, career foundation in an audit firm would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in SAP is a must have.
• Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and communication skills in both Mandarin and English, for liaison with stakeholders in Southeast Asia countries.
