Worldcheck Associate (Contract)
Job description
Responsibility
Internal Clients & Counterparts
To provide support and guidance to the business from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Miami, Dubai and Switzerland in performing AML screening, i.e. fulfilling the relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
To work collaboratively with other members who perform screening functions to ensure upkeep of function quality.
- Reasonably timely response and/ or screening results to the counterparts.
- Receive positive feedback from stakeholders/internal clients.
- Proactive communications with internal clients and counterparts for issue clarification and quality assurance.
- Update the Worldcheck Procedure and relevant Guides and References in the Worldcheck folder on a regular basis and whenever changes or updates arise, with clear communications with the counterparts to ensure consistent understanding among them.
Worldcheck System
To oversee and maintain the Worldcheck system with organised records for audit trail, compliance review and regulatory inspection purposes. - All open screening tasks are completed and filed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and communicate with counterparts on any unresolved/ unorganized screening logs.
Operational Excellence & Problems Solving
To support and guide the internal clients and counterparts to operate in a risk aware way and advise them on how to stay compliance with the Worldcheck Procedure and AML regulatory requirements of screening against PEPs, terrorists & sanctioned designations etc. - Proactive participation in operational improvement for running a robust Worldcheck function, e.g. regular cross-checking to ensure all existing clients are OGS, cross-checking to help Sales Ops check that all real match hits are flagged as high risk on CRM and are being handled as per enhanced DD & monitoring procedures, etc.
