Test Maintenance Manager

Job description

Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor company in Perak. They are currently seeking a Test Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of all test equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment failures and improve reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with test equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Evaluate and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to address equipment-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and team performance to senior management.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in test equipment maintenance within the semiconductor industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of semiconductor test equipment, including automated test systems, handlers, and probers. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information clearly.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Certifications: Professional certifications in maintenance management, such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), are desirable.
    • Lean Manufacturing: Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
