Test Engineer

Job description

Our client is a global Semiconductor company in Malaysia. Located in the central region of peninsular Malaysia, they are now seeking to hire a Test Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with wafer fabrication engineers, product engineers, quality engineers, and cross-functional teams to drive yield improvements and quality enhancements.
  • Lead initiatives for cost reduction, test time optimization, and cycle time efficiency.
  • Prepare manufacturing readiness checklists, perform test program peer reviews, and release test programs to production.
  • Evaluate and provide dispositions for production lots on hold in collaboration with wafer fabrication and product engineering teams.
  • Conduct engineering lot testing and reject verification, ensuring accurate data, yield summaries, and timely reports. Maintain 100% on-time delivery for engineering batch requests (EBR).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by facilitating manufacturing readiness and testing activities.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Device Physics, or a related field
  • Proficient in C++ programming.
  • At least 3 years of experience in wafer sort or final test engineering, particularly in power devices or module testing.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong skills in statistical data analysis using tools like JMP, Minitab, or similar.
  • Experience in test programming and the ability to interpret hardware schematics for troubleshooting test setups.
  • Self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound engineering decisions, and solve problems proactively
