Test Development Engineer (Semiconductor)

Position overview

• As a Senior Test Development Engineer at Multinational Semiconductor, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced testing solutions for semiconductor products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and maintain test systems, ensuring product quality and reliability. Your expertise will be critical in supporting our clients' diverse semiconductor projects and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Test System Development: Design, develop, and optimize test systems for semiconductor products, including analog and digital testing, RF testing, and mixed-signal testing.
• Test Program Development: Create and maintain test programs, test scripts, and test procedures to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
• Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate test systems, troubleshoot hardware issues, and ensure seamless functionality.
• Data Analysis: Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. Implement data-driven solutions to enhance product quality and yield.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including test plans, reports, and engineering change orders, to ensure clear communication and traceability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality assurance personnel to ensure the successful execution of test programs and the timely resolution of issues.
• Test Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in test development and execution.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in all testing processes and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Test Development Engineer, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency in semiconductor test equipment, such as ATE (Automated Test Equipment), oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of semiconductor test methodologies, including DFT (Design for Testability) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
