Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver IT projects within Banking environments in compliance with enterprise quality, risk, and regulatory standards

  • Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to shape high-level solution options and assess feasibility during pre-demand stages

  • Translate business needs into enterprise-aligned technical solutions, leveraging existing platforms or external sourcing where required

  • Drive architecture definition (high-level and detailed) in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and secure required technical approvals

  • Provide technical input into business cases, spend approvals, and procurement activities including RFP evaluations

  • Plan, baseline, and manage technical scope, budget, timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones across projects

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks including budget, resourcing, security, and technical constraints

  • Oversee end-to-end project execution in accordance with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Control day-to-day project delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, cost, schedule, quality, and IT security requirements

  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and external partners to secure delivery commitments and manage performance

  • Escalate and resolve critical issues promptly with minimal residual risk to the bank and customers

  • Maintain clear governance artefacts including status reporting, risk and issue logs, and change control documentation

  • Manage senior stakeholders and ensure transparent communication across business, technology, and governance forums

  • Support system go-live activities and ensure delivery readiness

  • Handle project-related IT audits and regulatory engagements as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering IT projects, preferably within banking, capital markets, or financial services

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, IT governance, and enterprise delivery frameworks

  • Hands-on experience in technical solutioning, including application architecture at high-level and detailed design stages

  • Experience working with enterprise architects, application owners, and cross-functional delivery teams

  • Exposure to Agile delivery models; Scrum Master experience is an advantage

  • Strong project planning, tracking, risk management, and change control capabilities

  • Proven ability to manage vendors, RFP processes, and third-party solution delivery

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior management and regulators

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, particularly in resolving critical delivery issues

  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and perform under pressure

  • Clear, confident communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience supporting regional or multi-country projects is an added advantage
