Technical Bakery Advisor

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily Baking Centre operations and coordinate demos, including preparation of ingredients, samples, and equipment
  • Provide technical support to customers through on-site visits, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and training
  • Develop and execute a wide range of baked products (bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, croissants, doughnuts) using premixes with creative applications
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on customer events, including recipe planning and execution
  • Support R&D in new product development (NPD) and building technical databases
  • Handle administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, reporting issues, and ensuring safety compliance
  • Support customer requests with recipe development and practical bakery solutions

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on bakery experience (cakes, breads, pastries)
  • Diploma in Patisserie or related field
  • Strong technical baking skills, both from scratch and premix-based production
  • Ability to troubleshoot baking issues and provide confident, practical solutions
  • Customer-facing mindset with good communication skills; able to speak English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage)
  • Willing to travel and work closely with customers on-site
  • Organized and able to coordinate multiple activities (demos, events, customer requests)
