Sustainability Governance - SVP

Job description

Our client is looking for a SVP Sustainability Governance to be part of their reputable organization in the banking and financial services sector. You will ensure Sustainability regulatory compliance and managing risks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact to the world and society.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the preparation, editing, and publication of the Group's annual Sustainability Report in accordance with the Climate-related Disclosure Policy.
  • Lead the annual assessment and appointment process for vendors involved in scripting, editing, and publishing the Sustainability Report.
  • Lead the Sustainability Materiality Assessment process to identify and prioritize sustainability issues relevant to the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Matters, GRI standards, TCFD, IFRS/MFRS, PCAF disclosure requirements, and TNFD.
  • Ensure that sustainability disclosures follow the Group's governance and approval process, building a data repository for Sustainability Reporting disclosure, and maintaining the Sustainability Reporting Operations Manual.


Qualifications

  • 12 years or more relevant experience in BFS focusing on risk management, regulatory compliance and governance, financial reporting or from audit/ consulting firms providing services for FI.
  • Vast experience in regulation & standards, plus for those related to climate, environmental & social risks, sustainability and financial reporting.
  • Experience in handling high impact projects will be a plus.
