Strategic Sourcing Manager

This global marketing solutions company based in KL is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager with relevant experience within the print/marketing industries. This role will be focused within the Malaysia and Singapore markets and the main responsibilities will be vendor focused activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining the supplier risk profiles to be able to ensure the effective contribution of overall risks
  • Performing vendor sourcing activities, ensuring the maximum value is derived from adopted sourcing processes and targets are met
  • Managing dependencies between sourcing and relevant business area to ensure supplier liaison, handovers and involvement of the appropriate parties as part of deal transition
  • Serving as vital communications link to Account Managers and Client Marketing teams to ensure the customer expectations are met

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Has relevant sourcing and procurement experience within the marketing or print industries
  • Strong relationship building with vendors and creating new or maintaining relationships
  • Proven experience of design, approval processes for 3D POS and 2D Print and relevant POS manufacturing (woof, paper, metal, etc)
  • Strong communication, Influencing skills and Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of quality systems and social responsibilities compliance requirements
  • Proven experience of POS procurement across Malaysia and Singapore
