Staff Process Engineer, Die Bond

This electronics manufacturer in Johor is seeking a Process Engineer.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team overseeing processes such as Die Bond, Panel Release and Transfer, Sputtering, DLC, and Carrier Plate Preparation.
• Monitor, analyze, and drive yield performance, collaborating with process owners to implement yield improvements.
• Manage the carrier plate preparation process to ensure quality and effective circulation management.
• Foster collaboration between Operations, Equipment, and Quality teams to address production and quality issues and minimize disruptions in the production line.
• Conduct FMEA and risk assessments for process changes, adhering to proper change management processes.
• Oversee recipe and procedural control, demonstrating familiarity with Control Plans, OCAP, Work Instructions, and FMEA.
• Ensure process robustness through the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process control tools.
• Initiate and support projects focused on excursion prevention, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Provide technical support in addressing critical quality concerns.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Hold a Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing/Material Science/Chemical) or equivalent.
• Possess a minimum of 5-10 years of working experience, with specialization in die bonding preferred.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and analytical capabilities.
• Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, Fish Bond, Is/is not, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and swiftly resolve issues and challenges, with solid knowledge and skills in the production area.
• Capable of leading and coaching engineers and technicians.
• Practice high-performance behavior and collaborate as a team to execute projects with a commitment to excellence.
