Sr Process Integration & Materials Expert

Our client is a Semiconductor MNC in Malaysia who is seeking to hire a Process Integration & Materials Expert.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and advance materials and thin films for passivating power semiconductor devices.
• Develop techniques for depositing inter-level dielectric layers and passivation materials.
• Incorporate these materials and processes into the production workflow for power devices.
• Investigate and apply new passivation methods, technical enhancements, and process adjustments.
• Assess the reliability and durability of devices using the new passivation methods.
• Determine the equipment and capabilities needed for new dielectric layers and deposition techniques.
• Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with Design, Process Integration, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Expertise in thin dielectric layers for power semiconductor devices, including silicon nitride and polymers, for inter-level isolation and die passivation.
• Understanding of power semiconductor device designs and high-voltage termination structures.
• Proficiency in thin film deposition and coating techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical characterization and testing of power semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge of reliability testing for SiC MOSFETs, Si IGBTs, and Si Diodes under accelerated conditions.
• Insight into degradation mechanisms of semiconductor power devices.
• Over 10 years of experience in power semiconductor processes, including process integration and device fabrication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to apply best practices across different technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to listen, explain, understand, negotiate, persuade, summarize, and present results.
• Experience working in multinational, culturally diverse, and cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven and accountable, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
