Shift Manager - Warehouse

Job description

  • Manage and oversee daily warehouse activities across inbound, storage, inventory accuracy, and outbound operations.
  • Track, analyse, and report warehouse performance indicators to support operational improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Establish, review, and enhance warehouse processes, work instructions, and SOPs to improve productivity, workflow efficiency, and workplace safety.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including structured housekeeping practices, process optimisation, and implementation of automation where applicable.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure warehouse and logistics activities are well aligned with overall business operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and regulatory requirements to maintain a compliant and secure working environment.
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate warehouse personnel, including third-party or contract workers.
  • Plan and run training and development initiatives to strengthen team capabilities and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management and inventory systems; exposure to SAP platforms such as SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA will be considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of shipping processes and documentation for local or international movements, where relevant.
  • Willingness to work on shifts and maintain flexibility to support operational demands during peak periods, including weekends.
  • Knowledge or practical exposure to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices is a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of leading and motivating teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Conscientious with a strong focus on operational quality and continuous improvement.
