- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations in a cost-effective manner, including inbound receiving and unloading of raw and packaging materials, issuance to production, backflush processes, finished goods receipt and verification, putaway activities, order picking accuracy, post-goods issue performance, and inventory accuracy, while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and customs requirements.
- Compile, analyse, and maintain operational data and reports to support warehouse performance tracking and management.
- Work closely with shift leaders to ensure smooth coordination of warehouse activities and to develop, implement, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Actively participate in site-level logistics or operational excellence programmes, supporting continuous improvement deployment and team formation.
- Perform detailed analysis of warehouse performance data and implement corrective action plans to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost control.
- Ensure all warehouse processes, procedures, and work instructions comply with internal policies as well as statutory and regulatory standards.
- Promote teamwork and workforce engagement to achieve productivity and service targets, with on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance closely monitored.
- Conduct routine job observations to assess process efficiency and team productivity, providing feedback against defined operational standards.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through consistent coaching, training, and enforcement of safety practices.
- Apply structured workplace organisation practices on the shop floor and provide regular operational updates to management.
- Establish and manage performance indicators with third-party logistics providers to ensure high service standards and reliability.
- Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a busy operational environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts across morning, afternoon, and night schedules.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
- More than 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, inventory control tools, and ERP platforms; exposure to SAP solutions such as SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of domestic or international shipping procedures and related documentation, where applicable.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and flexible hours, including weekends during peak operational periods.
- Knowledge or experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices is a plus.
- Strong leadership and sound decision-making abilities in an operational environment.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to motivate, supervise, and manage teams from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
