Senior Wintel Engineer

Job description

Are you an experienced Windows Server specialist ready to take ownership of global infrastructure platforms? We're looking for a Wintel Engineer to lead and manage key technologies supporting over 600 workloads across global datacentres.

Your Role:

  • Own and manage Wintel infrastructure across virtualisation, storage, and compute platforms
  • Manage Nutanix HCI platforms (AHV & Prism Central), VMware ESXi, and Veritas NetBackup
  • Maintain and troubleshoot systems built on Windows Server (2008-2025)
  • Support Microsoft technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, etc.)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including security and offshore support
  • Use PowerShell scripting to automate and streamline system operations

Your Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years experience with Windows Server, Nutanix HCI, VMware ESXi, and Veritas NetBackup
  • Strong background in OS hardening, vulnerability management, and SCCM/Azure Update
  • Advanced knowledge of clustering, certificates, LAPS, and core Windows role
  • Experience with containerised systems (Docker), virtual firewalls, and load balancers
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
