Senior / Software Developer - Digital Farm Engineering

About our client:

Our client is a multinational agricultural machinery manufacturer company and they are a part of a globally renowned agritech group, recognised for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in livestock management and modern farming. As the company continues to advance its digital farming ecosystem, they are looking to hire an experienced Senior / Software Developer - Digital Farm Engineering to drive the development of next‑generation farm automation and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software and solutions for modern farm environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams in Malaysia and Europe as part of the software engineering function.
  • Participate and contribute actively in Scrum daily stand-ups and ceremonies.
  • Engage in technical discussions and contribute ideas for software requirements and implementation.
  • Professionally diagnose and resolve issues reported by colleagues or customers.
  • Work in an Agile environment, taking ownership to plan and complete tasks with high quality and within timeline.

Technical Requirements

  1. Strong programming experience in C++ and embedded software development.
    • Exposure to Shell scripting, TypeScript, React, and JavaScript is an added advantage.
  2. Good understanding or hands-on experience in Linux networking, Linux administration, command line, and shell scripting (nice to have).
  3. Familiarity with software tools such as Visual Studio, Jira, and Confluence.
  4. Experience with quality assurance, including unit tests and automated tests.
  5. Familiarity with Git or GitLab for source code version control.
  6. Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment is an added advantage.


Personal Skills

  • Strong communication skills and an open-minded personality.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness and ability to work in an international team environment.
