Senior Sales Engineer

Job description

Our client is a specialist manufacturer focusing on high precision optical components and opto-mechanical assemblies, serving customers across industries like medical device, electronics and scientific instruments. Due to regional growth plans, they are looking to hire an experienced Sales Engineer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within target industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, and the U.S. markets.
  • Manage and grow key accounts through regular engagement, solution recommendations, and long‑term relationship development.
  • Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and customer visits.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Service, Engineering, and Logistics) to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales revenue targets.



Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Optical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related fields).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or application engineering, preferably in optics, photonics, or precision mechanical industries.
  • Proven experience in handling B2B industrial clients, OEM customers, or technical product sales.
  • Familiar with optical and mechanical components, including lenses, mirrors, filters, housings, or assemblies.
  • Experience working with international customers and suppliers across Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
