Senior Project Manager (Banking)

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex transformation initiatives within banking or financial services environments

  • Plan, manage, and track delivery across scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance frameworks

  • Engage stakeholders to define priorities, requirements, and delivery outcomes

  • Produce clear delivery artefacts such as project plans, business requirements, impact assessments, and status reports (role-dependent)

  • Proactively identify issues and risks, recommending solutions and driving resolution

  • Support change adoption activities to ensure smooth implementation and transition to business-as-usual

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and virtual teams across regions

  • Provide transparent reporting on progress, decisions, and delivery performance

  • Operate effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments using agile or hybrid delivery approaches


Requirements

For Project Management Roles

  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects or initiatives

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and delivery methodologies (agile, waterfall, or hybrid)

  • Experience in project planning, tracking, risk and issue management, change control, and reporting

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage senior stakeholder expectations

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Clarity, MS Project)

For Business Analysis Roles

  • Proven experience in business analysis within transformation or change initiatives

  • Strong capability in requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation

  • Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, impact assessment, and solution definition

  • Ability to challenge assumptions, propose options, and support informed decision-making

  • Experience working closely with technology and business teams to deliver outcomes

Common Skills & Experience

  • Experience within banking or financial services is strongly preferred

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills

  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience working in regional or virtual team environments
