Senior Manager, Model Risk Audit

Our Client

A renowned bank is seeking a Senior Manager, Model Risk Audit to support the execution of the bank's audit coverage of quantitative models across key risk types. This role also includes execution of audits across risk management controls and governance.

About the Role

• Lead assigned audit work involving model risk across the bank. This will entail managing the auditors to deliver the audit planning, controls, issues, action plans and submissions, in line with the bank's methodology and standards
• Lead continuous monitoring of assigned portfolio areas and assignments; build and maintain engagement with stakeholders
• Take responsibility for the design and implementation of department wide exercises such as annual planning, risk assessment and trainings
• Validate all audit issue action plans agreed during audit fieldworks, ensure these are tracked through to completion in accordance with methodology requirements
• Provide guidance on technical knowledge and management skills to the team to enable them to effectively deliver their assigned contributions
• Support the HOD to update the relevant assigned risk assessments to ensure risk profiles are identified in a timely manner; proposing changes to the assigned audit plan to the HOD
• Attend and present at formal committees and meetings on behalf of the HOD as required, e.g. governance committees and non-financial risk committees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking, Accounting and Finance or other relevant discipline(s)
• Minimum 10 years' experience with proven track records in internal/external audit, or quantitative model risk management
• Advanced knowledge of credit risk and traded risk models, or other risk-type models
