Senior Manager, Actuarial

Job description

    • Lead, coach, and manage team performance, development, and morale to ensure achievement of goals and adherence to performance standards.
    • Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient work arrangements.
    • Support recruitment efforts by identifying and hiring strong talent.
    • Set project priorities and oversee all deliverables, including planning and managing resources for actuarial initiatives and projects.
    • Manage the execution, validation, and analysis of IFRS17 results for assigned business units, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Review the consistency and reasonableness of results across templates, forms, and reports.
    • Document review findings and maintain a Q&A log for transparency.
    • Build and manage stakeholder relationships through clear communication and timely updates on production progress.
    • Coordinate incoming requests from various teams, including actuarial, finance, and downstream systems.
    • Address complex issues promptly, escalating when necessary to senior leadership.
    • Communicate results effectively to business units and stakeholders.
    • Review and approve updates to operational manuals based on production learnings, and collaborate on process or tool enhancements.
    • Manage and prioritize ad-hoc requests during result production to ensure smooth operations.
