Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Job Description:

  • Utilize available scripting languages, automation tools, and software to optimize network operations.
  • Design, build, configure, administer, and support networking solutions, which may also include computing, storage, physical infrastructure, and commercial off-the-shelf software.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of information systems by adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Take full accountability for identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and maintaining continuity of service.
  • Diagnose and prioritize issues, document root causes, and implement effective remedies.
  • Translate business needs into technical designs, create network specifications, and explore innovative approaches to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies and emerging tools to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to implement solutions within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Produce accurate technical documentation and implement monitoring and alerting systems to enable proactive and reactive support.
  • Provide support for out-of-hours project activities and participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications:

Networking

  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki switches and Wi-Fi, Barracuda WAF load balancers, and Azure networking (including load balancers, VNets, peering, UDRs, service endpoints, landing zones, Azure vWAN).
  • Strong understanding of DNS and related network services.

Cloud

  • Extensive experience in cloud networking and architecture.
  • Proficient in IaaS and PaaS cloud services.

Automation (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for configuring and deploying cloud networking components and devices such as Palo Alto firewalls and Barracuda WAFs.

Microsoft (Nice to Have)

  • Knowledge of Windows Server (2012-2022), Active Directory, Azure, and Azure Monitor.

Infrastructure (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to Nutanix, Nasuni storage, Commvault backup, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to train team members on networking concepts and technologies.
  • Skilled at quickly understanding and documenting complex network topologies.
  • Experience in designing and delivering complex network solutions to support business project
