Responsibilities:
- Design and plan hybrid cloud infrastructure with AWS, private cloud (OpenStack Platform - OSP),on-premise virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (OCP, EKS, AKS).
- Define compute, storage, and platform requirements to support scalable and resilient workloads (what runs where and why).
- Plan for redundancy, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Align infrastructure designs with business, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and security policies.
- Plan and manage the lifecycle of cloud services including provisioning, scaling, and decommissioning.
- Support automation of infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Enable AI and data workloads through optimized infrastructure planning.
- Collaborate with Cloud FinOps to support cost optimization and budgeting strategies.
- Provide infrastructure insights for forecasting, chargeback models, and usage analysis.
- Ensure infrastructure planning supports financial governance and accountability.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Support audits and compliance efforts by providing infrastructure-related evidence.
- Ensure infrastructure designs adhere to regulatory and internal governance policies.
- Work closely with Cloud Architects to ensure infrastructure aligns with solution architecture.
- Collaborate with the CyberSecurity department to ensure infrastructure supports security policies.
- Coordinate with application and operations teams to ensure infrastructure readiness.
- Drive hybrid cloud initiatives that support digital transformation roadmap.
- Identify modernization opportunities to replace legacy systems with cloud-native solutions.
- Promote a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement through cloud adoption.
- Support change management and capability building related to hybrid cloud transformation.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in Infrastructure Planning, Infrastructure Architecture or similar roles and 6-8 years of experience operation experience plus implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure across public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), private cloud (OpenStack Platform - OSP), on-premises virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (OCP, EKS, AKS). where trust and security are an integral part of the culture.
- Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent
- Cloud Computing: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Experience with: public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), VMware, OpenStack (OSP), Kubernetes for container platforms (OCP, EKS, AKS)
- Hybrid Cloud Management Platforms: Experience with hybrid cloud management platforms like VMware vRealize Suite, Red Hat CloudForms, or similar.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using IaC tools for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Scripting and Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
- ITIL: Familiarity with ITIL framework for IT service management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of AI infrastructure requirements and data platform enablement.
- Experience supporting FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience in large-scale enterprises or regulated sectors (e.g., telecom, finance).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Preferred certifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, OpenStack Certified Administrator, AWS / Azure / GCP Architect certifications, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
