About the Role
A leading multinational in the high‑tech electronics sector is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer (NPI) to support fast‑paced New Product Introduction activities. This is a confidential search for a high‑growth organisation known for engineering excellence and strong global supply chain operations.
The Senior Buyer will play a key role in ensuring supply continuity, driving supplier performance, and supporting prototype-to-ramp activities. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including planning, quality, engineering, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end purchasing for NPI builds, ensuring on‑time delivery and material readiness.
- Review planning outputs (BRP/MRP) and execute required procurement actions.
- Monitor and drive supplier performance (OTD, quality, logistics).
- Lead RFQ/RFI activities, conduct cost/price analysis, and support negotiation strategies.
- Develop strong knowledge of assigned commodities (PCBA, HLA, electronic components, etc.).
- Resolve supplier‑related issues such as delivery delays, DMR, GR, quality, and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in SAP and procurement systems.
- Support NPI project teams across prototype, pilot, and pre‑mass production phases.
- Manage RMA/DMR processes with suppliers.
- Maintain inventory at an optimal level through effective supplier communication and rescheduling.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or NPI environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and procurement processes.
- Experience in PCBA or HLA purchasing is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
