Senior Back End Developer (Ruby on Rails)

My client is a well establised tech solution company who has been recognized for more trhan 30 years is currently expanding their IT team by looking for Senior Back End Developer

Key Responsibilities :

• Take charge of integrating and designing the backend systems utilizing Ruby on Rails and databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, while also guiding the technical direction of the project.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the team's services and solutions, actively contributing to the strategic implementation of technical solutions independently.
• Assess and refine data, processes, and code to enhance system functionality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, create, and uphold high-caliber Ruby code, ensuring coding standards excellence, and aligning development with strategic objectives.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, reinforcing best practices and fostering their professional growth while maintaining technical standards.
• Oversee the hosting environment, database scalability, and security measures to guarantee robust data protection and optimal system performance.
• Independently tackle complex development tasks, integrate with external systems, and contribute to enhancing the product's competitive edge in the market.
• Lead technical projects with an emphasis on timely, innovative, and compliant delivery.

Key Requirements :

• Minimum of 6 years working experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Learning proficiency with Cloud infrastructures e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Azure (including Docker and
• Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM and Restful
• Plus to have CI/CD knowledge
• Familiarity of utilizing Redis for effective memory or cache management
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead development teams through complex projects.
