Senior Application Technical Support

Job description


We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Analyst to join our team. As a Technical Support Analyst, you will respond to user queries regarding application access and functionality, providing technical solutions and designing workflows to meet their needs. Other responsibilities include:

Job Description:

  • Provide level 2 technical support for investment applications, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Define and implement standard workflows and governance for the level 1 helpdesk, aligning with IT policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, connectivity problems, and batch job errors.
  • Address user queries related to application access and functions, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements, offering technical solutions and designing efficient workflows.
  • Conduct data analysis and testing, and draft comprehensive testing plans.
  • Prepare functional specifications (FS) and technical specifications (TS) for change requirements.
  • Implement changes to configuration files and programs as needed.

Job Requirements

  • A university degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3-5 years in IT development.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT and operations in the investment management industry, particularly in derivative instruments.
  • Familiarity with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related methodologies.
  • Experience with finance applications is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL Server, Oracle, and other relevant IT skills.
