Senior Account Executive

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an established and actively expanding company in the retail industry in Malaysia who are looking to hire an experienced Senior Accounts Executive, who will be responsible full set of accounts for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to Finance Manager, based in Cheras area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full set of accounts which includes AR, AP, GL and fixed asset scopes.
  • Perform month end closing activities, bank reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
  • Assist in preparation of forecast and budgets on quarterly and annual basis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in not only finance & accounting processes and other functional areas.
  • Responsible for liaison with external parties which includes company secretary, bankers and manage yearly audit and tax submissions.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant financial reporting and full set of accounts experience, preferably with a career foundation in an audit firm.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
