My client is a key player in pioneering technology and delivering services within the realms of defense electronics and solutions for government. They are looking for SAP ABAP to be part of their growing and dynamic team.

Responsibility:

  • Conducts ABAP programming, testing, and debugging tasks for SAP module implementation, enhancement, and support.
  • Collaborates with functional team/user representatives to comprehend requirements, seeking clarity on details for optimal solutions.
  • Writes ABAP code based on functional specifications/requests, and conducts regular usability tests.
  • Ensures timely completion of programs as per functional team guidelines, allocating suitable resources.
  • Provides technical assistance to functional teams/users, offering troubleshooting guidelines and post-delivery system modifications.
  • Develops, codes, documents, and executes tests (unit, systems, integration, acceptance) for complex functions.
  • Performs performance tuning across multiple functions to enhance efficiency.
  • Engages functional team members in solution design, delivery, and deployment.
  • Analyzes business process requirements, offering suitable system solutions, and documenting customer needs.
  • Evaluates SAP configuration requests to determine appropriate actions.
  • Manages integration of SAP with other third-party systems.
  • Supports incident resolution across various SAP clients.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots reported errors in the SAP system.
  • Coordinates with multiple teams to ensure effective incident resolution.
  • Records incidents and solutions using ticketing tools.
  • Takes charge of SAP-related projects within respective modules.
  • Develops requirements and specifications for the SAP system.
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and implements continuous improvements for SAP, including processes, documentation, user experience, governance, security, and workflows.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Requires at least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent.
  • Possession of an SAP Certificate is a beneficial factor.
  • Should have a minimum of five (5) years of ABAP experience.
  • Strong familiarity with object-oriented practices.
  • Proficient in addressing Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) issues across one or more SAP modules: FICO, MM, PS, SD, HR & PM.
  • Skilled in SAP configurations, system support, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrates excellent comprehension of business processes and the capability to align them with SAP functionality.
