Sales Manager - Oil and Gas cables

Job description

Our client is a long established manufacture of electrical cables and wires. Selling to industries such as manufacturing, building materials, energy, oil and gas, data centres and more. Due to growing demand, they are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to further develop their presence within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the oil & gas market.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with sector needs-offshore platforms, pipelines, terminals, FPSOs, refineries, and petrochemical plants.
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts (EPCs, OEMs, national oil companies, contractors, fabricators).
  • Track market trends, tender announcements, and project pipelines (FEED, EPC, MRO).
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales contracts.
  • Provide technical recommendations for cable solutions (power, control, instrumentation, fire‑resistant, armoured, marine/offshore cables).
  • Understand specifications, standards (IEC, BS, API, IEEE etc.) and ensure product compliance with project requirements.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in sales within the oil & gas, energy, marine, or industrial cable industry.
  • Proven track record managing EPCs and large‑scale industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and certification requirements (IEC, BS, IEEE, ABS, DNV, Lloyd's, BOMBA etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship‑building ability with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Self‑driven, strategic, and capable of working independently.
