Sales Manager - Freight Forwarding

Job description

Heading/intro:

Our client is a multinational company specializing in international freight forwarding and overseas logistics, with a presence across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, and Africa.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in air and sea freight forwarding.
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Qualify new opportunities within logistics in-house companies, small to medium sized companies with sizable logistics activities.
  • Establish sales strategies, target lists, volume goals into relevant market segments.
  • Manage activities including calls, sales presentations and meetings.
  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policies and profitability goals.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5 years of sales/business development experience with international freight forwarding.
  • Knowledge of international trade, shipping modes, and customs procedures.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to do business presentation and contract negotiations.
