Overview


This position oversees the day‑to‑day Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities within a shared services environment, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of month‑end close, financial reporting, balance sheet governance, and compliance with internal controls. The role provides guidance to a small team, supports process improvements, and collaborates closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and regional/global teams to maintain high service quality and strong financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily R2R operations including journal postings, reconciliations, accruals, and month‑end closing.
  • Review and validate financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Oversee balance sheet schedules and drive resolution of outstanding items with relevant teams.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure smooth closing cycles and resolve accounting issues.
  • Support internal/external audit requests and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide coaching, task delegation, and performance monitoring for assigned team members.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery standards within the shared services environment.

Who They're Looking For

  • Background in accounting/finance with experience in R2R, General Ledger, or financial reporting.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience within shared services or multinational settings.
  • Strong understanding of month‑end close processes, accounting principles, and reconciliation activities.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Excel.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, and able to manage tight timelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with regional/global stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to process optimization or automation being an advantage.
