Regulatory Affairs Manager

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all regulatory affairs functions to ensure products comply with related laws and standards.
  • Formulate and execute regulatory strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Keep track of evolving regulations and industry requirements at both domestic and international levels, interpreting and communicating key updates to internal teams.
  • Manage the submission, registration, licensing, and approval processes for company products with relevant authorities.
  • Provide regulatory expertise and support to cross-functional departments including R&D, QA/QC, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain.
  • Review and validate product labels, nutritional or health claims, and marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise the preparation and renewal of all necessary permits, certifications, and technical files.
  • Establish, review, and maintain internal SOPs related to regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the company's representative in dealings with government bodies, certification agencies, and regulatory institutions.
  • Support external audits and inspections, as well as internal quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to internal teams on relevant regulatory topics and best practices.
  • Promote continuous improvement in compliance frameworks and regulatory processes.



Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Regulatory Affairs, or a closely related field.
  • At least 10 years of regulatory experience similar industries, including 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of local and international food and feed regulations (e.g. FDA, MOH, DVS, DOE, JAKIM, etc.).
  • Proven experience in product registration, labeling compliance, licensing, and regulatory documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills for liaising with authorities and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities with a focus on team development.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, crisis management, and project coordination.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with integrity and accountability in all regulatory matters.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance compliance requirements with commercial priorities.
